Adho Mukha Vrksasana / Handstand
(At the wall)
Adho Mukha Vrksasana translates to Face Down Tree or what we simplify to Handstand. This Pose for a while was my "Everest". I would try and get a little help to the top and once I was there, it's a beautiful feeling but to do it on my own had been difficult. It was definitely one of those lessons that the Sutras teach about consistent practice and this consistency was not easy for me to come by.
My practice was not perfect but here is a little taste of what it was taking to get there with a few tips on warming up and the importance of noticing or feeling the work in your body and mind as you try this inversion.
I hope you enjoy.
We have all been affected by COVID in some way or another. I spoke with a few friends that had experienced the symptoms and wanted to find a way to help. I googled "yoga for covid" and found this article: https://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/healt... I hope it helps that I used this as inspiration for a Pranayama or Breathing exercise.
